Coach Mulheron Enjoys Win Over Corning With The Boy's
With a 10 a.m. opening face-off, Canandaigua’s offense needed a little extra time to wake up yesterday.
The Braves held a narrow 5-4 lead at halftime but exploded for 10
second-half goals to keep their undefeated start alive in a 15-6 boys lacrosse
win over Corning East at Evans Field.
Connor Henderson led the potent Brave attack with five goals and an
assist. Brian Scheetz (two goals, two assists), Justin Tomzak (two goals, three
assists), Andrew Knoblauch (one goal, two assists), Nick Munn (two goals) and
Tom LaCrosse (two goals, one assist) all had a multi-point game for Canandaigua,
which improved to 7-0 overall.
CA coach Ed Mulheron summed it up by saying: “Another great team
victory.”
Matt Pierotta and Justin Patterson each had two goals for Corning
East.
Scott Bement had 12 saves in goal for Canandaigua, which travels to Penn
Yan Tuesday for the renewal of one of the Finger Lakes League’s top
rivalries.
